Our Story

Honest, UK-first cruise advice from a lifelong cruiser, helping British travellers plan with confidence, from choosing a ship to boarding at Southampton.

About Ocean Cruise Book

I've been cruising since I was a child. My family took me on my first cruise, and we have now sailed together more than 37 times. A family holiday became a lifelong love of the sea and the ships. Friends and family across the UK kept asking me the same questions, so I started Ocean Cruise Book: one honest, plain-English place for British cruisers to plan their next sailing.

Made for UK Cruisers

Every guide is written with British travellers in mind: sailings from UK ports, prices in pounds, school-holiday timing and the cruise lines UK passengers book most.

Advice From a Lifelong Cruiser

More than 37 sailings have taught me what really matters, from choosing the right cabin to making the most of a day in port. I share it all in clear, jargon-free guides.

Why a UK Cruise Guide?

Most cruise advice online is written for American travellers, or by cruise lines selling their own ships. UK cruisers need different answers: how to get to Southampton or Dover, where to park, what a sailing really costs in pounds, and which lines suit British tastes. Ocean Cruise Book brings those answers together in one independent place.
